A Very Scary Auction Software Story

It was a dark and stormy night.  Tomorrow Bill has a huge auction.  At 9:00pm the phone rings. Sally, his long time cashier, says, "I've fallen quite ill and I won't be able to work tomorrow's auction."  Stark terror washes across his face.  "She's the only one who knows how to run the Computer, what will I do!!! ???", is his first thought.

Poor Bill! If only he'd bought a simpler system, one that someone could learn in a few minutes.  But alas, there is no such system.  But wait!!
